Rhinebeck Antique Emporium Hosts Local Author

Join local author Anthony Musso, of Hidden Treasurer of the Hudson Valley fame, as he presents his book: Staatsburg: A Village Lost in Time. Autographed copies of his book will be available for purchase.

Anthony Musso, author of "Staatsburg: A Village Lost in Time" will be holding a book signing event February 20th, 7 p.m. at The Rhinebeck Antique Emporium, 5229 Albany Post Rd., Staatsburgh.

Anthony Musso was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. His first book, "FDR and the Post Office" was released in 2005 and was followed by a two-volume book, " Setting the Record Straight; the music and careers of recording artist from the 1950's and 1960's...in their own words." The later project was based on personal interviews Musso conducted with 100 top recording artists from that era. His latest books, "Hidden Treasures of the Hudson Valley" Volume One and Two each feature 55 sites throughout the upstate New York region that, while not widely known boast significant ties to, among other things the American Revolution, early American industry and local and national politics.

The two-mile stretch of Old Post Road that spans the north and south access points from Route 9 and runs through the center of the Village of Staatsburg is today a peaceful, quaint thoroughfare. Some tourists still enter the village to visit Margaret Lewis Norrie State Park or the Staatsburgh State Historic Site, former home of the Mills family and now a museum. However, most vehicles traveling between the Town of Hyde Park to Staatsburg's south and the Town of Rhinebeck to its north rarely drive through village streets. This quiet village stands in stark difference to the the Staatsburg that existed before 1932 when the Route 9 bypass was constructed east of the village.

Join local author Anthony Musso as he presents his book. Autographed copies will be available for purchase.
