Major League Roller Hockey International Inline Championship Announced, Pittsburgh Steel Recruits Brothers Dylan and Nolan Trombetta

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA, MAY 4, 2015 - The Major League Roller Hockey International Inline Championship is being hosted in Pittsburgh this year in early May. The Pittsburgh Steel of the MLRH Pro Circuit will be kicking off the first round of championship play against the Leicaster Dragons of London, England. If Pittsburgh wins, they will move on to play the European champion, the Manheim Stars of Germany.

“We are extremely excited to open up international play right here in Pittsburgh,” said Pittsburgh Steel General Manager Russ Cersosimo, Jr. “We put together a team of the best of the best in our city...We promise not to disappoint.”

The league is full-contact and fighting only gets players 3 minutes in the penalty box. The Pittsburgh Steel play a physical game and intend to show the European teams a physicality that they don’t see in Europe.

Chicago, Ohio, Buffalo, DC, and Philadelphia will also have teams in the tournament. The winning team will receive $10,000.

The Steel has acquired brothers Nolan and Dylan Trombetta. Nolan Trombetta, a goal scorer with a knack for agitating opponents, was a first round draft pick, 6th overall, by the Fresno Monsters in the NAHL draft. He played 2 years of junior A hockey in Canada and is a former inline national champion.

Dylan Trombetta is a former member of the U.S. national inline team who lead all scorers in international tournament. Known as a lethal goal scorer, he is known as “One Touch Dyl” for his quick scoring release.

Both brothers took a break to focus on ice and are excited to bring their skills to the Pittsburgh Steel. “My brother (Dylan) and I are excited to join the Pittsburgh Steel program and represent Pittsburgh in international play. The Steel are a first class organization, and we are excited to return to inline and pursue a championship with the talented group of guys we have,” said Nolan Trombetta.
