FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

New York City - May 8, 2015 - ArtExpo exhibited the works of many influential artists and affiliated galleries on  April 23-26, 2015 at Pier 74 in New York City. For thirty-seven years and counting, Artexpo has been changing the way people buy and sell art. Each year thousands of art industry insiders flock to Artexpo New York in search of the art and artists that will shape trends in galleries worldwide. Hosting more than 25,000 avid art enthusiasts annually, the ArtExpo is the largest international gathering of qualified trade buyers—including gallery owners and managers, art dealers, interior designers, architects, corporate art buyers and art & framing retailers.

This year’s expo was a tremendous success on all fronts, exhibitors made great connections and closed big sales. Several established artists and galleries reported record show sales this year. Including Art Design Consultants who sold 43 pieces in just the first day and 68 pieces total during the show ($1,000 – 4,000 range). Litsa Spanos, president of ADC said, “Best first day ever at Artexpo!”

Another success was the local New York Artist Marko Stout, who was exhibiting at the show for the first time. His video installation entitled “Manhattan Project No 09” sold to a Belgium collector for $85,000. The same collector also purchased 4 of Stout’s acrylic prints ranging in value from $8,500 to $12,500. Marko Stout was represented by Artisan Direct during the show.

The Artexpo exhibitor, Garsot, reported sales of five important pieces and worldwide contacts established via interaction with media from China, the Middle East and local and national outlets. Works sold include: “Flowers For You,” “Coral Reef, ” “Ocean Sunset,” “Sunny Moonlight” and “Kiss Me Tonight.” Prices ranged from $25,000-250,000.

Exhibiter Tanner Lawley commented: “This is by far a highlight in my short, six-year career.” During the show, he sold two pieces and sold two pieces after the show from Artexpo leads. He was also asked to develop a commission for a collector for $5,000 – 7,000.
