Back Tackles the Controversies on Drug Trafficking and the Maximum Penalties Practiced by Some Countries

Crimes involving or related to illicit drugs and drug addiction has become part of the everyday morning global news and a great number of misdemeanors, felonies, and deaths have been attributed to its use and sale. But, what has recently shocked the world at this present times are the issues about the disturbing and frightening rapid increase in the incidences of drug trafficking from all parts of the globe.

Drug trafficking or the global trade of these illicit substances and prohibited drugs is actually a huge industry where manufacture, distribution and sale are parts of the illegal activities, and any of these is punishable by law. As a matter of fact, some countries do impose and implement drastic and radical punishments such as death sentence or execution.

In spite of the advocacies contradicting the use of illegal drugs and the information campaigns teaching the people about the harmful effects of these prohibited substances, people still continue to use and crave for them. With the great demand for illegal drugs, drug dealers have been using human carriers to transport the drugs from one country to another; hence people, even the innocent ones, are being used as drug mules.

Moreover, he United States for a fact is also burdened with these drug problems; distribution of drugs have long been a problem despite the all the efforts of the Drug Law Enforcem4ent Agencies to protect the borders from drug traffickers and human drug mules. Drug smuggling of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, amphetamine and marijuana still continue to circulate and are constantly being distributed in the United States. There may be tons of money involved in the sales and distribution of drugs and this may be the reason why people allow themselves to be used by drug lords as carriers, but they have to understand the effects it could cause the users and the victims of drug-related crimes.

Although there have been a lot of efforts by all the nations to provide effective drug rehabilitation treatments and make certain innovations and schemes like the detoxification process, cognitive-behavioral counseling, and the outpatient treatment AZ. There are a lot of rehabilitation centers that the government funds as well as the private drug rehabilitation centers that are put up to help people get sober and become fully-functioning individuals in the community once again. Helping people achieve a sober living and prevent remissions will lessen the number of drug users and thereby decreasing the demand for the illegal drugs; with the hope that drug trafficking will be put to a stop.

For as long as there are drug users, drugs will continue to be manufactured and distributed; some countries like China, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Iran, Vietnam and Singapore have been imposing the strict implementation of maximum penalty which is death. Furthermore, Indonesia has also joined in and executes drug offenders. Drug trafficking may not be completely eliminated, but in these countries, drug-related crimes have truly been lessened.
