Tiger Schulmann's NYC's Lyman Good Wins UFC Debut by KO
NEW YORK, New York (July 17, 2015) - Lyman Good, head instructor of Tiger Schulmann's in Chelsea, NYC, won his debut fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) on July 15, 2015. Held in San Diego, California at the Valley View Casino Center, Good defeated UFC veteran Andrew Craig by a knockout (KO) in round 2.
Good, known to many as "Cyborg," has been participating in professional MMA competitions for almost 10 years. With a resume that includes a Bellator World Championship, having only 3 weeks to prepare for his UFC debut proved to be no obstacle.
"Lyman certainly delivered in his long awaited and deserved UFC debut," said Keith Gehshan, Marketing Manager for Tiger Schulmann's. "Years of hard work, discipline, and non-quitting spirit culminated in a defining moment for his accomplished career."
From the start of the fight, Good used various offensive techniques to control the action. In the first round alone, he landed several counter right hands, two low kicks and a few body shots. Then, in the second round, Good returned with a right hook that took Craig down, providing the perfect opportunity for Good to move forward and finish the fight. At 3:37 in round 2, Good was declared victorious.
"Lyman's performance was years in the making and the Tiger Schulmann's Organization couldn't be more proud. He continues to inspire thousands everyday within the organization, and we all look forward to his next UFC bout," said Gehshan.
Aside from competing professionally, Good's true passion is sharing his knowledge of martial arts, fitness and nutrition with his students at the Tiger Schulmann's school in New York City.
