Turmeric A Potentially Effective Natural Remedy To Improve Pancreas Health

Orlando, FL – September 01, 2015 – The pancreas works by supplying enzymes essential for digesting carbohydrates, proteins, and fats in the small intestine. It also secretes hormones that manage sugar metabolism in the body. This organ plays an important role in the functioning of the body, but it is also susceptible to injury and damages.

Turmeric is believed to be a potentially effective natural remedy to improve pancreas health. Inflammatory conditions such as pancreatitis are among the threats to the health of the pancreas. While pancreatitis is an acute condition, it can nonetheless become chronic when it lasts for years.

“Turmeric is a medicinal spice that has been used for thousands of years. Its phytochemical called curcumin is believed to be mostly responsible for its therapeutic benefits,” said Divine Bounty spokesperson, Melissa Scott.

Dietary changes are believed to be helpful for mild attacks of acute pancreatitis. However, severe cases usually require immediate medical attention to prevent life-threatening complications. Individuals who suffer from abdominal pain for hours, days, or months may be suffering from pancreatitis.

There are factors that can worsen the pain caused by pancreatitis such as drinking alcohol. There are other symptoms in addition to pain such as fever, vomiting, and a swollen, tense abdomen. Digestion of fat also becomes difficult, and this often results in diarrhea.

Pancreas health is placed at risk due to genetic and environmental factors such as long-term alcohol abuse. Alcohol is believed to stimulate the early release of pancreatic enzymes, and this leads to damage in the healthy tissue. Gallstones and increased levels of fats are also factors believed to contribute to the development of pancreatitis.

Pain medications and hospitalization are among the most popular methods that sufferers resort to in order to control pain. When the pancreatic health is jeopardized by gallstones, a surgery to remove the gallbladder is often recommended.

While pain medications are helpful for sufferers, these pharmaceutical drugs only provide temporary solutions. What makes them disadvantageous is that their use is associated with side effects including the fatal ones. This is why more and more people are resorting to natural measures just to find a safe solution to their problem.

Having a low-fat diet is highly recommended. Experts also recommend that people avoid being dehydrated and drinking alcohol. The use of herbs such as turmeric is also recommended by experts.

Turmeric is a popular pain relief option used by many individuals who suffer from arthritis pain. It is not just popularized by the pain relieving effects it provides, but also the myriad of health benefits associated with its use. Today, people can take advantage of the healing effects of turmeric through curcumin supplementation (http://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-BioPerine-Extract-Vegetarian/dp/B00VSVKJ8I).
