"Tourist Attractions in Turkey" Published

In 2013 the number of people visiting tourist attractions in Turkey increased by 8%, compared with a CAGR of 6% in the review period. The developments in domestic and inbound tourism in the country had a direct effect on the performance of tourist attractions. Turkey is a country with a rich historic background and natural resources. It attracts a high number of domestic and foreign tourists to its historic monuments.

Industry Prospects

Over the forecast period tourist attractions is predicted to see a value CAGR of 2% at constant 2013 prices, and a volume CAGR of 7%. This compares with a negative CAGR of 2% at constant 2013 prices over the review period and a CAGR of 6% in volume terms. Increased domestic and inbound tourism, together with improved economic conditions in the country, are expected to drive growth.
