Research Proves Curcumin’s Sleep Benefits Can Potentially Reduce Stroke Risk

Orlando, FL – December 29, 2015 – Conditions such as stroke affect not only the health of sufferers but also the quality of their lives. There are many factors that contribute to the development of stroke, and one is sleep deprivation. Fortunately, there are natural remedies believed to be helpful for achieving better sleep.

Curcumin’s sleep benefits can potentially reduce stroke risk. Curcumin is a phytochemical present in the medicinal spice called turmeric. Its use has long been associated with a myriad of health benefits due to the antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties it contains.
“Today, curcumin is widely available through supplementation,” said Divine Bounty spokesperson, Melissa Scott.
According to the National Sleep Foundation, average adult individuals should achieve seven to nine hours of quality sleep every night.  Lack of sleep can lead to exhaustion, grogginess, and reduced ability to think well.

The organization also reveals that most don’t get enough sleep, and this can lead to serious health consequences. Lack of sufficient sleep may trigger some changes in the genes, and this can trigger various health problems including stroke.

Researchers reveal that having too little sleep can potentially result in over 700 genetic changes. These changes are associated with the development on stroke, heart problems, and obesity.

In a 2012 research, it was found that lack of sleep can increase one’s risk for stroke, regardless of the absences of certain risk factors such as family history or obesity. HuffPost also reveals that individuals who sleep less than six hours every night are four times more likely to suffer from stroke symptoms.

Stroke can happen any time to anyone. It is otherwise known as a brain attack, and takes place when the blood flow to the brain is interrupted or cut off. Interruption in the blood flow can deprive the brain cells of oxygen, which causes them to die.

Interruption in the blood flow can cause stroke. During the death of the brain cells, one’s ability to control the affected brain area is often lost. This can lead to problems in memory and muscle control. The severity of stroke may vary according to the location where the stroke occurs as well as the level of damage in the brain.

There are an estimated number of 800,000 individuals who have experienced new or recurrent stroke. It is even the fifth leading cause of death in the United States.

Curcumin supplements are abundant with high levels of therapeutic properties. It is believed to help improve overall health condition and functioning of the body. It is also thought to be effective for improving quality sleep (http://amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-BioPerine-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00VSVKJ8I).
